1.Christ the Redeemer

Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus located in Parque Nacional da Tijuca, Alto da Boa Vista - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Visit hours are Monday-Friday from 9pm-5pm, it is closed on Saturday and Sunday. If desired, you can even have weddings in at the Christ. It is considered the 5th largest statue of Jesus in the world, it is also considered the largest Art Deco statue in the world. It is normally illuminated at night by white lights, yet in October the lights change to pink to support breast cancer awareness, it was once illuminated by yellow and green lights to support the Brazil national soccer team playing in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Constructed by Heitor da Silva Costa and Paul Landowski, consturction was between 1922 and 1931.
